After Spezia’s impressive comeback victory away to Cesena, Gabriele Artistico shared his thoughts on the win: “I want to congratulate the whole team because today we delivered a great collective performance against a strong, well-equipped side. Coming here after a really difficult period and playing like that was hugely important for all of us.
It’s my first brace in Serie B, and I dedicate it to everyone, from the kit men to my teammates, to the entire Spezia family. In this moment we’ve really pulled together, and we’ll give everything we have until the very end.
Goals help a striker grow and lead the team. I always try to do my part, and today I had said I’d go celebrate with Massimo Datteri, our long-serving kit man and I did after the second goal.
Hübner in the stands? He’s a striker who made history with his goals. I hope he enjoyed mine, it’s an honour to have scored in front of a legend like him.
Emotionally, the second goal meant a lot. Technically, I think the first was more difficult. But in the end, what really matters is the final result.
We always tell each other that a match is long and full of moments. You have to stay compact, united, and never give up, because anything can happen.
Today we wanted to win and send a strong message. We wanted to deliver and we did.”
