Yesterday, at the Coverciano Federal Centre, Polisportiva Spezzina were crowned Italian champions in the national final of the Paralympic Football Division.
On a glorious sunny day, accompanied by flags, cheers and a large crowd, the La Spezia side triumphed in Level 3, beating Terzo Tempo in the semi-finals with a fantastic goal in the dying moments of the match. This allowed the Whites to maintain an enviable record: in five matches at Coverciano, including the semi-final, they scored 13 goals and conceded none.
Led by striker Turanovic, Polisportiva Spezzina also dominated the final against Monza Arcobaleno, refereed by the exceptional Marco Guida. The young Eagles started strongly, taking a 3-0 lead after just a few minutes, before adding another goal shortly before the end of the first half to make it 4-0. At the final whistle, the scoreboard read 6-2 in favour of the Whites, a result that crowned Polisportiva Spezzina Italian champions, all in the presence of Coach Silvio Baldini, who was on the touchline to watch the tournament final up close.
To all the members of Polisportiva Spezzina, the Club in Via Melara extends its heartfelt congratulations on this fantastic achievement!
