This morning saw another exciting instalment of ‘Scuole al Picco’, the project dedicated to schools in the La Spezia area, centred around an unmissable tour of the refurbished ‘Alberto Picco’ stadium. Today’s guests were pupils from Montedivalli Primary School.
At the heart of the project, which sees the club on Via Melara open the doors of its stadium to young pupils, is the desire to educate the younger generation by promoting a positive sporting culture, highlighting values such as passion, loyalty, respect, enjoyment and teamwork.
Through a journey of discovery into the world of the Eagles, various topics linked to the past and present of Spezia Calcio are explored, including accounts from the historic Spezia commentator Federico La Valle, touching on the history of support on the shores of the Gulf of Poets, with its characters and anecdotes, characterised by the great pride of standing by their city’s team day in, day out.
An iconic moment of “Scuole al Picco” was the big themed quiz, featuring numerous prizes branded by Spezia Calcio and Kariba, partners of the project, which filled the morning’s participants at the Picco with joy. The event then concluded in the stands, in the beating heart of the Spezia fanbase, with a wonderful souvenir photo in the Curva Ferrovia.
