As the team returns to training, President Charlie Stillitano shared his thoughts: “It’s certainly not the start to the season any of us imagined. We’re disappointed, we’re sorry, but above all, we’re aware, aware that we haven’t yet shown the real face of Spezia, the one built on pride, character, and belonging.
Our first thought goes to our fans, who once again on Saturday showed what it means to love these colors. They supported us until the very end, and it’s first and foremost for them that we want to react.
Together with Thomas Roberts, who is always close, involved, and present in every decision, and with the entire Spezia Calcio board, we’ve carefully analyzed this difficult moment, and we are more convinced than ever that we can overcome it. We’ll do so through what has always defined us: hard work, sacrifice, and unity of purpose.
We’re all responsible for this start, no one excluded, but for that very reason, each of us must look within, rediscover that spark, that fire, that hunger that has allowed us in the past to achieve extraordinary things.
Because Spezia never gives up. Never.
Spezia fights, reacts, lifts its head, and rewrites its story with dignity and courage.
We are united, and now is the time to stand together, to work, to believe. We must stay close to the team and to Coach D’Angelo, because step by step, we’ll become once again the Spezia we all know and love.
Because when Spezia falls, it’s never to stay down, it’s to rise again, stronger than before".
